Liposuction and Your Surgeon’s Training

Liposuction safety and results depend on the skill and training of your surgeon and not upon the latest technology toy the surgeon has purchased. Either your surgeon is good and well trained or they aren’t.

Look for surgeons who are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery when you seek quality and service. Look for the FACS behind your surgeon’s name when you seek quality and safety. FACS, or Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Look for the surgeons Operating Facility certification by the prestigious QuadAAAA if you want safety and quality.

Liposuction can be done well with very simple instruments. The ultrasonic assisted technologies including Vaser help in some situations if the surgeon is otherwise capable.

A capable surgeon can attain nice results with any technology and often with very little high technology employed at all. An untrained surgeon can be dangerous with any technology or lack thereof.

Always avoid cut rate facilities and doctors that have prices that seem too good to be true. Low prices mean corner cutting in staff , safety and surgeon training. That translates into danger and death for the patient. See a well qualified true surgeon using criteria mentioned for your liposuction.
