Liposuction is the removal of unwanted body fat by suction. The term lipodystrophy is used to describe areas of disproportionate fat placement. Even at a perfect weight, one can have excess fat in any given area. What areas are amenable to liposuction treatment? A better question would be what areas are not amenable! Just about any area you can imagine may benefit from this procedure in the properly chosen patient.

In 1982, I first became interested in liposuction because I saw the technique as a safe easy way of removing unwanted fat about the face and neck. I took all the training courses and my career in liposuction began. Since then, I have performed liposuction on over 3200 patients.
This procedure is designed to remove excess skin, fat, stretch marks and/or repair the separated rectus muscles. A protuberant unattractive abdomen may develop for a number of reasons.
