George W. Commons, M.D. is an internationally renowned plastic surgeon, researcher, and educator. He is board certified by the prestigious American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Plastic Surgery Clinical Faculty at Stanford University Hospital where he participates in training plastic surgeons in the Stanford Residency Program. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a professional organization whose exacting standards of surgical excellence define the specialist surgeon. Dr. Commons is known for his extensive surgical experience, expertise in patient’s health, dedication to safety, and exceptional aesthetic results.
His years of experience in plastic surgery began first as a plastic surgery Resident and Fellow at Stanford University Medical Center, then as Chief of Plastic Surgery in the U.S. Air Force at Clark A.F.B. in the Philippines. He opened a private practice in Palo Alto after his time in the Air Force where he continues his work in plastic surgery today.
Dr. Commons is often asked to give presentations to his colleagues and presents at the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon (ASAPS) meetings. He is called upon as an expert witness in plastic surgeon litigations. Dr. Commons participates with other groups in research and development.

He now has chapters in eight text books and nineteen articles, and is a Cryo-Lip certified surgeon–ready for the utilization of stem cells. In fact, he is published in thirteen stem cell articles.
